POLY ATTACHMENT TRIP .

Had Poly attachment for the past 3 days, for the course of Life Sciences. For the first day, we went to Temasek Polytechnic's school of applied science and had various activities and learning about drugs creation, forensic, blood etcetc. There was also free food ! Which was not bad ah. Haha.

For the second day, we went for the MaritimeOne Open House ! Even though this wasn't part of Life Sciences, and they are not really that much of a link, I still enjoyed myself this day ! :) First part wasn't that fun actually, in fact it's really freaking boring. There was talks by various professionals and experts in the Maritime Industry at the Kallang Theatre. There were also other schools, and I happened to see Jury and Erica there, which both of them are from Compassvale Sec ! After the talks, we headed to the restaurant downstairs, which was now temporary used for students to have lunch. It was the same place which YYSSCO came last year, for performance for the President :) The lunch was okay and in a rush. After which, we went back to bus to start our tour !

We set out to Jurong, which was damn far from Kallang. We were at Jurong Shipyard, and learn more about how they maintain ships. It was a rare experience for most of us, who wouldn't have a chance in our lives to visit a shipyard. The guide was also humorous, and keeps joking around.

Lastly, we headed back to Pasir Panjang, which was another long trip. At Pasir Panjang Ferry Terminal, we boarded a boat and off to see we go ! It was the best part of the tour, as we got to enjoy the seabreeze and enjoy the scenery. The boat also passed by Pulau Semakau, which we visited in Sec 1 ! Aww, memories with 1E1'10 :) Due to lack of time, we didn't have the chance to visit Raffles Lighthouse :(

For day 3, we went to Republic Polytechnic. First part of the tour we went outdoors, to the Admiralty park just outside the polytechnic campus. It was a really longgggggg walk and we were all perspiring under the hot hot sun :/ After which, we headed back to the polytechnic, and we visited the anatomy museum ! And finally we went for lunch in their canteen and it wasn't a pleasant experience so I'm not going to talk about it.

Overall, these 3 days were tiring but I indeed learnt some things, which we normally won't get to learn within the four walls of the classrooms. It was an eye opener for me and it is also one of the rare times where we get out of school to learn :)
