YYSSCO CELLO&BASS GATHERING .

Spent last Sunday with CELLO&BASS section as we went to Qu Feng's house (aka QF & FYY love nest) to visit him for chinese new year and celebrate his belated birthday! So like 8 of us from like 6 batches of cellists and bassists met up at Potong Pasir MRT and we went on like a hunt to buy his birthday cake. It's been a long time since we have all come together like the last time was like last year's july concert? or was it QF's birthday last year? Gosh time flies!!

So like QF's house was like in the middle of nowhere like literally it was just two HDB blocks in the middle of rows of terraced houses. While walking and finding where his block was at, Ci En called him and then we were still wondering which block then like he asked as to look up and see him waving but we were like 2 roads away?? But our eyesight not bad we can spot like this small figure waving then we waved back while a bus drove past us lol awkward .... hahaha then like FYY came to join him then the couple was waving at the window aww so cute



Then we finally reached his house and whoa they cooked a feast and FYY said they prepared this since like 9am omg there was like a huge spread of food from pig trotters, clams, tomato fried egg, dumplings, salmon, potato with long beans etcetc WE WERE LIKE SOOO FULL Yiling was trying to get us to like finish the food and she kept bringing food to us and Weng Xin was like ugh so full. We were there since like around 1 plus? Then we chat over lunch for like a really long time then we finally finished eating then we brought out the cake and sang a birthday song then after that we ate again, and then we had a tea drinking session (i swear i drank so much tea i felt like i wasn't gonna get any sleep that night haha), but it's nice coming together and chat and have a catch up session with our seniors and teachers, and we chatted till like 6 plus omg

Like since last time QF always talked about life stories and stuff so it was nice hearing him talk about it again haha then we were all reminiscing about CO days in secondary school ~~ awwh suddenly feel like playing again. And the thing is QF changed alot, especially after his marriage with FYY, like last time he had a really kinda bad temper he would scold and hit us all till some of us cried, like I remember this one time he scolded me and wengxin really badly then wengxin cried or something but like I can't remember if I cried, but then QF said like I always don't seem to understand what he was saying most of the time (which was kinda true HAHA, my chinese is bad). But now he's like sooo friendly it's so weird it feels so surreal. Like right now I heard the orchestra is in a really good atmosphere everytime so like it was really different was DXY was around, but after she left, QF took over as conductor, it was really nice (and they start to play pop music now so cool gosh).

Time flies when we're having fun so I kinda enjoyed myself over food and gossip (who doesnt like them). Looking forward to our next gathering hehe (;
