Finally have some time to myself on this sunny Saturday to blog about Taeyeon's concert in Singapore which happened 2 months ago! So sorry I finally remembered I haven't talked about this yet after seeing Howei posting a random throwback of the photos and fancams we took that day HAHAHA so I shall share my experience and thoughts on this magical concert experience ~
Prior to the concert, I was having quite a rough time that few weeks. It was a much needed healing session to get wild and forget everything and to live in the moment, immersing in the feels and enjoying the performances put out by Taeyeon.
It was my first official concert where I used the SOSHI BONG so I was really excited for it because I heard of the special bluetooth effects it adds to the lighting during the concerts according to the songs.
Upon entering the concert venue, I thought "ahh..Taeyeon would have filled up Indoor Stadium better as compared to the small scaled Expo Hall which she held her concert at. Also she was mentioning that we are all "well-behaved" because we are all sitting nicely at the front - as compared to in the standing pens, which I felt should've happened.
I loved the elaborate stage set-up, costumes and LIVE BAND!! Having a live band for a concert adds a different form of dimension to the show (which was the reason why I enjoyed IU's concert too for the live band) and as expected, Taeyeon was indeed the best.
Opening the show with a fierce and powerful unreleased track 'Here I Am' and following up with 'I Got Love', the audience was wowed by the spectacular performance. Apart from performing her solo hit songs such as 'Something New', 'Why' and 'Fine', she performed various other B-side tracks which I really like such as 'Circus', 'Secret' and 'Gemini'. AND MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE part was when she performed a medley of 'Holiday' and 'All Night' and when the SONEs were doing the fanchants, made me felt really proud as a SONE.
She ended the show with 'I' and everyone dashed to the front as though it was a standing pen and it marks the finale of her 'S... concert tour which ended on a touching note. That particular night, Taeyeon was emotional as it was her last stop of her tour and she opened up alot, and shared her feelings with us, which made me think how much she has gone through to have such deep thoughts.
"There are so many things that are waiting for me so I don't have the time to think of the past, Because what has passed won't come back. That's why I feel a bit sad. Maybe that's why I don't like the past - because it doesn't come back. I feel that because there's somewhat of a bitterness when I think of the past, so for self-preservation, I don't think about it as the emotions that you are feeling right now and the time we spend together will not comeback again, I hope you'll enjoy our time together."This particular ment, I relate to it alot and tugged at my heartstrings. To live in the moment, experience as many feelings as possible and look forward to the future. Though the past has beautiful memories one would want to go back to and cherish and re-live it again, it's never coming back. I too, miss the past, but it's never coming back.
Thank you Taeyeon for being genuine and thank you for singing. Thank you for letting me experience this feeling which I might not have again. Thank you for the healing experience through your thoughts, songs and realness. Thank you, for being you.
I look forward to the next time, and still holding on to the hopes of seeing all 8 members in Singapore for a reunion world tour. #makeithappen
